5.1 Rare sighting of a rank 5 lemming - The imba super mister master lemming!
1. Introduction.
A PvP Lemming is a being of great importance. Dont get the wrong idea now. It is NOT of great importance due to its nature or anything like that, but simply because there are so insanely many of them!
PvP Lemmings are usually found in, but certainly not limited to, battlegrounds. If you know what to look for they are easy to spot and if you browse through the PvP Lemming Rules and Ranks you should be able to identify most of the lemmings you come across. These rules and ranks will also help you understand the nature of the PvP Lemming a lot better so if you are not familiar with them we strongly recommend reading those before continuing here.
2. Birth and early years.
The exact place of birth of a PvP Lemming is based mainly on race. Some say that this is the ONLY determine element - however, this is NOT true! This is mainly due to the fact that a PvP Lemming is not necessary something you are born as, but more often than not, something you become.
Upon starting as a level 1 character a player is... well... is nothing at all really. One of our gnomish researchers started using the term, "Level1Nobody" or "L1N", and it was agreed that this is indeed quite fitting.
When the L1N sets out into the world he or she is very likely to take on characteristics of the first players he or she meets, and because of the insanely rapid reproductive rate of the PvP Lemming the L1N will nearly always encounter a Lemming before anything else.
3. Reaching Lemming'hood.
Now the L1N has the choice of whether to start down the path of a PvP Lemming or not. Actually this isnt true, is purely based on luck! (or the lack of) Very few players are able to resist the temptation of joining the happy jumping, running, kek'ing individual and before they know it, BAM! The L1N becomes a rank 1 Newb lemming.
If you know the PvP Lemming ranks then you might ask: "Wait what?! Rank 1 before even gaining rank 0? How is that possible?" We could reply "ffs stfu l2lemming lol kek bai!!!1!", as a lemming would, but we wont. As researchers of an important species we will explain the facts without letting any form of personal opinion or feelings influence our work. Honestly!
Anyway... Rank 0 - Potential lemming is used to categorize those players who have a clue. A L1N has no clue! And since he or she just started showing signs of lemming'ness, well there you have it: Rank 1 Newb lemming. kk thx bai! (sorry)
Warning! A L1N can gain ranks above 1 straight from the start if he or she encounters a rank 5 lemming. If the imba super mister master lemming spots a L1N all hope of avoiding lemmings'ness is lost! After the encounter the L1N will enter a state of transformation in which he or she will run in a straight line with no brain activity at all. This can be mistaken for lag, but is it not! The L1N is transforming into a rank 3 or 4 lemming depending on the amount of exposure to the rank 5 lemming. In these cases the newly born lemming doesnt go though the normal lemming ranks.
Of course, no actualy not of course, but... There are a few individuals who avoid gaining rank 1 in this early stage, but they in turn gain rank 0. This does not mean they are completely void of anything lemming'ish, it just means the lemming'ness is dorment. Kinda like a virus not showing symptoms yet.
4. Gaining Lemming ranks.
Once the lemming'ness has gone through the first phaces of incubation the newly born lemming will continue his or her movement through the world. The speed of which a lemming will gain ranks is related to the places he or she spends time. Our research has shown that battlegrounds, Goldshire and Crossroads are some of the better places for lemmings to gain ranks fast due to the high activity of other lemmings. Especially the chance to come across a rank 5 imba mister master lemming is reason to visit these places for faster lemming rank leveling.
Let it here be noted that a lemming can never fall to a lower rank. Once a rank is acquired the individual can never go back. A theory suggests that rank 5 lemmings will sometimes take on the aspects of rank 4 lemmings in order remain undetected within the crowds. This can only be in an attempt to hide something and whether the rank 5 lemming really becomes a rank 4 lemming for some time or simply pretends is yet to be discovered.
5. Field research documentation
In this section we will show you some of our more exciting documentation concerning the PvP Lemming.
5.1 Rare sighting of a rank 5 lemming - The imba super mister master lemming!
While doing our field work we were fortunate enough to encounter a specimen of the very rare rank 5 imba super mister master lemming!
The picture you see on the right shows a rank 5 lemmings in full action. The battle of Alterac Valley was just about to begin when one of our field researchers noticed this player auto running at the gates. A lemming! But already after just a few seconds of intense observation it became clear that this was no ordinary PvP Lemming. Upon closer study it was revealed that this lemming was in fact not running at the gates of the battleground, but at the very wall next to the gate! |
